Experience facilitator

UpstartED is recruiting and training a team of facilitators to help deliver our innovation workshops and programs. Facilitators  will have the opportunity to learn the latest trends in the fields of design, technology and entrepreneurship all while discovering Montreal’s education ecosystem. By being part of the UpstartED team, you will get access to various sponsored community events as well as the wider UpstartED network. Most importantly, you will be joining our tightly-knit family and would be a fundamental part of a nonprofit startup.

Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing UpstartED’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. This role offers the Coordinator a total immersion into Montreal’s ed-tech environment, working closely with high level executives to learn about social media, digital communications and marketing. This role will be instrumental in increasing UpstartED’s social media presence and gaining visibility for UpstartED’s brand in the areas in which the organization operates.

Student Advisory Council Member

The Student Advisory Council is an opportunity for students to contribute to UpstartED’s existing and future educational programs. As a council member, you will be asked to work alongside other students to create engaging activities and events for our community (one per quarter), encourage community-wide communication and participation, attend pilot programs to provide valuable feedback on the curriculum, and represent the growth of the UpstartED brand as an ambassador.

About

We are a Canadian education nonprofit whose mission is to elevate the potential and personal agency of children and youth from historically marginalized communities so they can act as changemakers in their own lives and in the world.

At UpstartED, we acknowledge and respect the land and territory on which we stand. We have the privilege to live, learn, teach and raise our families on the traditional, treaty, and unceded territories of Turtle Island (North America), home to many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples. As a nonprofit that empowers youth to be agents of positive change and responsible citizens, we recognize the importance of and actively support reconciliation efforts in Canada and across the world.
